YSRCP’s Vendetta Politics against Chandrababu Naidu

Ever since YSRCP came into power, the state government has been actively using the Police machinery to silence the voice of the opposition by filing false cases against the people who dared to speak against the government.

On 24th February 2021, Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy (YSRCP) filed a case against the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of forced land acquisition from Dalit farmers for the construction of the capital city Amaravati. Based on the complaint the Crime Investigation Department (CID) registered an FIR on 12th March 2021 and served notices to N Chandrababu Naidu and called him for questioning on 23rd March 2021.

In his complaint letter, Mangalagiri MLA mentioned that some of the Dalit farmers of his constituency have given a representation to him and mentioned that few notable people under the TDP regime have forcefully procured lands from Dalit farmers. However, the FIR does not mention names of the aggrieved farmers giving rise to the speculation that these accusations were made to frame N. Chandrababu Naidu. It is not clear as to how CID can serve the notice without mentioning the names of the farmers who claim to have suffered due to the forced land acquisition.

YSRCP MLA registering the case after six years of historic land pooling exercise and the timing of the complaint proves the malicious intent by the YSRCP to defame the TDP supremo among the Dalit community at a time when elections to Tirupati Loksabha by-poll were announced.

Even earlier the Andhra Pradesh High Court has struck down the baseless cases registered by the CID alleging insider trading in the purchase of lands by some people in Amaravati. Further, it looks like Y.S. Jagan Reddy is following his late father Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy’s footsteps also filed many false cases and constituted inquiry commissions against TDP supremo but failed to prove anything.
