YSRCP claims to take the credit for being the first state in the country to enact a rule ensuring single window clearances for the Industries to set up their plants in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Invest India, an agency for national investment promotion and facilitation, which is the first point of reference for the foreign investors to invest in India in its Twitter post on 2 July 2020 posted with the Hashtag #AdvantageAndhra.
But the YSRCP leaders, the likes of Rajini Vadidala claim it as the achievement of YSRCP and taking credit for it, claiming it as YS Jagan Mohan Reddy with a hashtag of #YSJaganmarkgovernance.
The claim is rather misleading and false.
It was first in 2002, the then Chief Minister of combined Andhra Pradesh who bought the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Single Window Clearance Act, 2002 (Act No.17 of 2002). In fact, the subsequent amendments to this act led to the launching of online single window tracking system.
After the bifurcation of the State, once again the new government under Chandrababu Naidu issued G.O. 92 in August 2014 to further ease the possibilities for the investors. The G.O. mandated a pre-scrutiny of documents by officials from respective departments to reduce additional information requests and making it quick and transparent.
