Given the recent signing of the MoU, between TTD and Udveg Infrastructure and Consultancy(UIC), Telugu Desam Party’s Executive Secretary, Buchi Ram Prasad, expressed concerns over the credentials of the company, and the sincerity of the government and TTD, in this issue. Mr. Prasad demanded that the state government disclose the details of the agreement to the public, which proposes the construction of the children’s hospital.
On 12th March, an MoU was signed between the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam(TTD) and Udveg Infrastructures for setting up a world-class state of art pediatric hospital in Tirupati. The cost of the project is expected to be around ₹300 crore and the funds for the project would be raised in the form of donations. The MoU documents were signed by TTD executive officer K.S.Jawahar Reddy and UIC chief executive officer and managing director, Sanjay K. Singh in the presence of TTD chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy.
Mr. Prasad alleged that even though the company claims to be involved in the construction, infrastructure, finance, and consulting businesses, the reality is contradictory. It was also found that the company had showcased the photograph of a government stadium in Europe on its website to give a false impression on its track record. Prasad stated that the “suitcase company” which had been started by Sanjay Kedarnath Singh in 2018, had a balance of Rs.1 lakh in 2019 and now it’s just Rs.2,600. The TDP leader has shared his concerns over TTD giving away its ten acres of prime land in Tirupati for the construction of a hospital which the company may exploit after possession. The leader urged the TTD to immediately cancel the MoU and take up the construction of the hospital on its own.
