Telugu Desam Party National President and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu paid his tributes to Dr. B.R Ambedkar and other luminaries on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of National Constitution day.
Mr. Naidu recollected the remarkable services and contributions furnished by the constitution pioneers that not only influenced modern India but also the rest of the world. In an official statement, he mentioned, it is extremely unfortunate to see the present Andhra Pradesh as a state of constant anti-constitution activities and violence against the vulnerable sections of the society. The TDP chief observed that all the pillars behind the idea of constitutional democracy have come under attack by the present YSRCP government. It’s the sole responsibility of every citizen to uphold and protect these ideas but unfortunately, those responsible to uphold these spirits are tarnishing it.
The former CM extended his wishes to all the Telugu people and added that liberty, equality, and fraternity were the sole ideas of democracy but now in Andhra Pradesh the media is stifled, dissent is being suppressed, and fundamental rights are being compromised. He also shared his concerns on issues like violence against the marginalised sections, physical atrocities against women, farmer distress, and attacks on the opposition party workers.
