Out of the total 37.72 crores vaccines administered in India in the last 177 days, the State of Andhra Pradesh has administered only 4.58% of vaccines which account for 1.7 crores. The State till yesterday has managed to fully vaccinate only 35.24 lakh people out of 3.84 crore beneficiaries who are above 18+ in the State.
States like Delhi (16.59%), Kerala (16.17%), Gujarat (15.19%), Karnataka (10.21%), Rajasthan (9.89%), West Bengal (9.64%), Maharashtra (9.42%) have vaccinated higher percentage of population above 18+ when compared to Andhra Pradesh (9.17%) and the State ranked at 23rd position in the country.
In the last one week between 4 July 2021 to 11 July 2021 the State has administered only 5.94 lakh vaccines with an average of 96,352 vaccines per day and at this current pace of vaccination it is estimated to take 620 days (1 year 8 months 12 days) to vaccinate the 18+ population in the State.
More than 1 crore beneficiaries in the State above 18+are currently awaiting their second dose and over 55% of beneficiaries (2.13 crores) above 18+ in the State have not yet received their first dose.
In the last 24 hrs, the State has reported 2,665 new cases which account for 14.12% of the total cases registered at the national level with a positivity rate of under 3%. Similarly in the last seven 7 days, the average test to positivity rate in the State is 2.93%, much higher than the national average which is under 1% (0.96%). The death toll in the State has crossed the 13,000 mark and the State currently has around 28,000 active cases.
