In the recent follow up on the ‘Amaravati Movement’, Amaravati Parirakshana Samathi Joint Action Committee (JAC) held a roundtable discussion and decided that the organization would continue with their activities irrespective of any high-level political influence till the YCP led state government decides Amaravati as the only capital of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Amaravati Parirakshana Samathi Joint Action Committee (JAC) has been the forefront organization staging their protests and demonstrations against the YCP led state government’s plan for a three-capital setup. The organization has been playing an inevitable role by unifying different stakeholders concerning the ‘Amaravati Movement’. The organization held the roundtable session named ‘Save Amaravati- Save Andhra Pradesh’ and stated that the JAC has been staging major agitation and protest activities for the past one year with only one agenda of making Amaravati the only capital of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
JAC convener A Sivareddy presided over the roundtable discussion and several members from the opposition political parties and other social organizations were also part of the meeting. JAC convener Sivareddy also acknowledged the constant participation and support from the major opposition party Telugu Desam Party and the presence of other opposition parties throughout the struggle to achieve a common goal to make Amaravati the only capital.
